A waterfall with a classic name not to be mistaken for the many others around the US.
About The Hike
Bridal Veil Falls is located in the Columbia Rive Gorge waterfall circuit with the parking lot located directly on E Historic Columbia River Highway. Bridal Veil Lodge, a private Bed and Breakfast sits across the highway of the parking lot.
The hike to the falls is a half mile out & back style hike that descends about 100 feet using well built switchback pathways.
The trail crosses the Bridal Veil Creek at it's low point via bridge and follows the creek upstream to a platform viewing area of the two-tiered falls.
Bridal Veil Falls Trail:
Distance: .5 Miles
Type: Out & Back
Elevation: 200 feet
Ascent: 78 feet
Don't get me wrong, these falls are pretty but of all the falls in Oregon and especially the others in the Columbia River Gorge area I don't think these have much hype. If you're pressed for time - pass on Bridal Veil Falls.
Getting There and Important Information
The parking lot is located directly off of the Historic Columbia River Highway between Latourell Falls and Multnomah Falls.
From the parking lot you can also take another small half mile loop that overlooks the Columbia River but this only connects to the trail going down to the falls at the restroom facilities.
No camping or overnight parking is allowed.
