About The Falls

Leading up to my visit of these falls I was unenthusiastic about the size thinking the biggest plunge waterfall pictured above was no larger than 10-15 feet. I can say for certain these falls are much grander in person and top out at about a 25 feet plunge. The atmosphere around these falls is what makes them so unique. The water is turquoise blue, the vegetation a royal green and the cliffs a fun hangout or jump spot into the main pool.

The hike in is only about a quarter mile which reaches the gorge above and then descends a rock staircase to take you to the base of the Bingham Falls pool. Enjoy the large boulders at the base which make a great viewpoint, picnic spot, or hangout.

Getting There and Important Information

The trailhead to the falls is close to Stowe ski resort and has a parking area for about 15 cars. The hike is is suitable for almost everyone but kids should be watched closely with gorge cliffs near the trail. This is sure to be a popular spot for swimming and cliff jumping throughout the summer months but do so at your own risk.
